I wonder if anyone can recommend a really good physio for knees (various tendon issues) in Central Scotland. I'm in Kinross but prepared to travel for someone who specialises and knows their stuff.
Try David Bowmaker at lifefit physio in falkirk (01324 614004). Highly experienced physio with a large ammount of sports experience. I first saw him with a knee injury that had me out for four months that my regular physio had no idea what to do. He had me out running the next day.
I got excellent treatment from Ahmed Habib at the Stirling Uni clinic a few years ago - it was hip-related stuff after a black ice prang but he's worked a lot with football teams so probably knows his stuff with knees as well. He's based over west with this group:
I remember Ahmed saying he'd done quite a bit of work with injured curlers - suspect that would be largely knee-related, is like gardening on ice. I also asked him if the worst sports injuries he saw were from rugby and he said no, it was the American footballers, despite all the padding etc.
In reply to Robert Durran: Jez Tomlinson is in St Andrews and he deals with a lot of runners so perhaps someone in Kinross road runners can also recommend someone closer if not him as well.

Thanks. Just remembered that I'm not actually allowed to go to any of these physios at the moment
Robert, we can travel for healthcare. I’m off to Glasgow twice for NHS appointments in the next week. Thanks for starting the thread, as I also need a physio and Helen Stevenson by Cleish has stopped doing consultations since she and husband took over the Stove Centre.

I recently had to visit a physiotherapist, and was assured that travel out of one's LA was permitted as 'healthcare'. If it's not too far from Kinross, I'd recommend Mhairi Menzies at Callander Physiotherapy.
