If anyone's looking for a big off piste challenge for later on in the season, a friend and I set this last season. We've confirmed it's possible, and I think there's at least 60 minutes that could be taken off our time.
The challenge is to ski a classic north-facing couloir from the top of every mountain in Tignes and Val D’Isere that has one – in one day. It involves glacier travel, skinning, lots of hiking, an overnight on the hill (or a very early big skin) and a lot of skiing.
