good pubs near to manchester climbing centre ....

is there any? (not that i have to combine the pub with every activity, of course) ....

In reply to staralfur: Not sure if this counts as near, but there's The Lass O'Gowrie, on Charlse St, just off Oxford Rd, behind the BBC. Five minute drive, 10 minute bus ride, 30 minute walk. Always a good selection of ale (at least 4) and always well kept. Nice place, as well.

Don't even think of going anywhere within walking distance, but The Marble Arch on Rochdale Road, going towards town is excellent - the decor has to be seen, great beer and good food. 5 mins drive max. Looks like an old bank from the outside.

Depends which way you're heading out of town. If it's in the Hyde direction, the Waggon (Hyde Rd rhs) does Holts at ridiculously cheap prices.
