Not sure if this is going into the right forum, so apologies to the mods in advance if I'm wrong.

I'm going to be in Morocco this september with my girlfriend and we're thinking of trying Jebel Toubkal (I think that's how its spelt) while we're there.

Just wondering if anyone on here has been up there and if they've got any advice - ie places to stay; How long should we look at for the round trip? Any highlights/things to watch out for?

I'm fairly competent in the hills, with experience in the Alps, scotland and trekking in Nepal and while my girlfriend hasn't done much in the way of climbing or moutaineering, she is fit and has done a fair amount of skiing.

Any hints and tips gratefully received!

All the best

have you had a browse of these threads?

plenty of info.

the area is fantastic.

the 'climb' is a walk.

punters take a mule and a guide. you need neither - despite many guides telling you that you can only stay at the refuge if you are guided etc..

ps. should be the expedition forum i would guess.
