After seeing the challenge thread i've desiced that my summer challenge is to climb an extreme on every mountain cragin the lakes...

They all have to get ***

Esk Butteress - Central Pillar
Scafell Crag - Saxon
East Butteress - Ichabod
Dow Crag - ??
Gimmer - Gimmer String
Gable - Snickersnack
Pillar - Gondor
Dove - Dovedale Groves
Raven Treshwaite - Redex
High Crag - The Philisente

any other crag suggestions?

if the crag doesn't have a *** E1 or 2 it gets missed out.

Pavey must have something that qualifies (no guide book to hand to check stars, Capella / Astra / Poker Face / Bracken Clock?)
I'm assuming you mean big mountain crags otherwise you need something on Blak Crag Wrynose too (I'm sure there's an E1 there that gets ***).

Catacomb or Side Walk from Dow (don't fall off p.1 of Side Walk).

That E2 on Eagle Crag in Borrowdale - Where Eagles Dare, is it? There's a good E1 up there too I think.

From Pavey, Arcturus or Astra.

Man of Straw on White Gill.

I'm bored now, there's probably loads more.

In reply to Andy Hobson: I did the E1 other day. I don't think eagle crag counts as a mountan crag. even though the walk in is a bitch.

Definitely a 'mountain' route.

In reply to Exile: I think he only means one route per mountain, not per mountain crag, hence his route on gimmer is his route on Pavey.
