(was a deal that had to be done; £50 with a new contract phone) it's running XP so it cant be that bad; but is it possible for some one to let me know what i can do with it in terms of computing power, in terminology i can understand ? s'poz really i would like to know if i can use photoshop on it and if it's going to be a bit slow how do i upgrade the memory to speed it up a bit ?

In reply to diablo: My limited knowledge suggests that you need at least 512mb ram for XP to work properly. How old is it?

In reply to diablo:

Go to Start->Control Panel -> System

On the first screen you should see something like

Pentium(R) 4 2GHz
512Mb of RAM

The figures may be different but you get the idea.

Upgrading the memory on laptops can vary from easy to awkward. Check on the web for your particular model.

In reply to diablo: www.crucial.com is one place to look for memory if I remembered correctly.
