for instance, I know of one poster who has approx 19 profiles...

but you can't automatically ban them - 'dinkypen' and 'satori' log in from the same ip address.
plenty of other people work / live / study together and use the same connection

I wasn't suggesting banning anyone! just saying that the statistics about users might be a bit skewed by some people having lots of profiles so where it might seem like there were 19 users, there was really only one.

couldn't you alwasy search though? i always use that to find people.

and absolutley loads of people have more than one user name - i have 2 and can think of loads of others with 2 aswell
