In reply to Dave Murphy:

buyer pays postage
 Souljah 11 Jul 2007
In reply to Dave Murphy:

With no reference of scale how are we to know how big they are!!
They could be as big as a house, or as small as a grain of rice!!
 nikinko 11 Jul 2007
In reply to Dave Murphy:

If I was to erect a woodey, say not quite as steep as vertical, and stick three of your holds on it...

what would the grade be?
OP Dave Murphy 11 Jul 2007
In reply to Souljah:

the largest would be about the size of a cantoloup mellon

werver it will not look like mellon or feal like mellon or smell like mellon

it will

look like rock, feel like rock, smell like rock

OP Dave Murphy 11 Jul 2007
In reply to nikinko:

given their jugginess

it would be at the lower wend of any grade you designed for

In reply to Dave Murphy:

I got told off once for walking off a beach with a rock .. was told it was illegal and I could get fined £1000. Seriously!!!!!!!!
Bob kate bob 11 Jul 2007
In reply to JimR:
There are people that look at a beach and think, 'wouldn't those stones look nice in my garden?', so the take a load away. If everyone did that it would be a lot of stones.

On certain beaches, the stones have been paid for by the council and put there, I think to help stop erosion.

So people taking stones are 1) stealing and 2) undoing the councils efforts at stopping erosion.

Knowing the above, the fine does not sound so silly.
OP Dave Murphy 11 Jul 2007
In reply to Bob kate bob:

I wil lnot be taking the stones from the beach.

These rocks were not illegaly taken from a beach
Bob kate bob 11 Jul 2007
In reply to Dave Murphy: I didn't think that you would, just replying to Jim's post.

oh, and they are multi-coloured...
In reply to Dave Murphy:

If that's a pic of the finished climbing wall there are way too many holds on it.

Also do you have a supplier local to me, as I may have seen some similar holds at my nearest garden centre?

If I send you the money could I just go to the beach and select my own holds?

In reply to Dave Murphy:

How can it be theft if I've sent you the money?
