Just watched them in concert on 'Mainstreet', will almost certainly be repeated later this week.
It's these old fat guys playing just the most amazing giutar music.
They finished off with Green Manalishi and Black Magic Woman.
Pete Green looks like Sutty

In reply to Al Evans: And who is the guy on drums?
In reply to Al Evans: As I've said before, if it's good rock music you want, go see the guys wearing trousers with elasticated waists.

The youth of today just can't do it the same...

In reply to donkarlo: Oh wow, didn't he start out (like many did) with John Mayall Bluesbreakers? I seem to remember he replaced Eric Clapton

In reply to Al Evans:

is the story true that Green was spiked by Gerry from the greatfull dead & then went on a 30 year bad trip?

I got one of his recent albums & its dire I'm afraid!

In reply to Simon: I think it is true that was 'lost' for a large number of years, seemed back on form now though.

In reply to Al Evans:

Story goes...
He was on tour with Fleetwood Mac in the States. Popped out to the shop and never came back for Circa 30 years.

Or so Mick Fleetwood said in one of those Fleetwood Mac life story programmes.

There is a Peter Green Way in Barrow in Furness. I think I recall someone saying he was from this neck of the woods.
Sir Edmund 16 Nov 2007
In reply to Sir Edmund:

Though this is possibly a little more accurate.
