Ines Papert is one of the best mixed climbers in the world and she was the first woman to climb M13. Here is her training:

I am clearly destined to be forever a week bumbly, as my immediate reaction to that was "f*ck that for a laugh". However it potential value is obvious.

In reply to Jamie B.:

Who votes for the rest of us to be allowed to do this, and Henning to be forcibly restrained from it on the grounds that he's too bloody strong already?

Hi Jamie, you are definately not a weak bumbly because otherwise Orion face and similar climbs would not be in your logbook.

But I wonder what she could do in Scotland on traditionally protected routes after some practice...

In reply to hwackerhage:

Orion is the perfect aspirational route for the week bumbly with attitude; never steep but requiring good head skills! An ability to do can-openers and familiarity with campus boards is not required or helpful.

What could she do in Scotland? That depends on the head skills; there are plenty of ripped dry-toolers out there that barely do anything on trad.

In reply to Jamie B.:

I belive she's done some pretty hairy trad. I'd have thought her head skills were pretty good.

Can't see the link though. Bloody work computer!

Well WI6+ is more than I can do...

and Camilotto-Pellisier (8b, Cima Grande) probably has the odd peg but I don't think they took a Hilti:

Someone should buy her a ticket to Glasgow!

In reply to hwackerhage:

Very good. I wonder how long she spent consolidating at VS?

I was entertained that she climbs 8b, but sees rock-climbing as "...(partly) ...a means of preparing myself for the winter season".

And finally: "I strongly encourage everybody to always climb on lead."

In reply to duncan:

Sorry the 8b was not trad but bolted and she redpointed it! Not sure whether she is wobbly VS or V though...
