Kinder downfall - Frozen

anyone know if kinder downfall has formed and frozen

In reply to sjames: I doubt it very much....I was out at Edale a couple of days ago for a run and went up onto Kinder Scout and all the streams were still flowing normally. Even the puddles only had thin ice on them.

I didn't go past the downfall however, so I don't know how much its flowing.

Even if it is, then you've got approximately 6 hours left before it starts to warm up and melt, this time tomorrow it'll have fallen down. Probably.

In reply to Simon Caldwell: Well- we have been having full moons- if he gets up there at 4 am it might be frozen- there's a very nice little ice fall forming in the mill-race in our village!

In reply to sjames: No, I went up yesterday evening to have a look with the intention of getting up early this morning if it was in condition. There was no ice on it. The nights have been cold, but the days warm, so I imagine whatever ice formed in the nights was then stripped the next day.

In reply to sjames: It was frozen on dec 21st went to have alook but looked too hard for me, alot harder than the grade two given in western grit
