Another awkward question but how much of your climbing performance is mental (e.g your mindset), technical (skillful) and physical (e.g flexibility strength).

In reply to james oswald: according to eric horst (google it) its split evenly mental, physical, technical. 1/3 each. i think thats what it was anyway...

In reply to james oswald: This may be splitting hairs but I get a feeling that our friend Mr. Oswald likes that.

Does this very from style of climb and type of rock.

I.E put me on top rope on my home rock and Im nearly cranking 6a moves. But take me leading on grit and I wuss out on 4c jamming cracks.
