A few years ago Ellis Brigham in fort William had a set of oil paintings of winter climbs/climbers hanging near the entrance of the shop.

I always liked them, but couldn't afford one at the time. They no longer seem to have any and I haven't seen similar paintings anywhere else.

I know this is a bit vague, but if anyone else remembers them, perhaps they know who the artist is or where I might be able to find his/her paintings?

If your keen for good paintings and art from the Ben and the Highlands the best place to look in the Fort is Dave Wilson (Artist) he runs the Lime Tree gallery and hotel, really good pictures !

Aye, I know Jamie. The paintings I'm thinking of are much more abstract/stylised than his stuff, but I guess he might have an idea who they were by.

Having had a look at those links, I think they may well have been Dave Wilson's paintings.
Cheers Dan!
