Anyone see the documentary on BBC2 last night ? the most compelling bit of tv i've seen for ages - unimaginably hardcore, and such a tragic end.
From my armchair perspective I thought that hatch looked a bit of a weak point in the design and although it obviously served him well almost until the end, it ultimately appeared to lead to his death.
I wonder why his reception didn't organise a boat to track and shepherd him to land for the last few km, and will the son feel the need to try the same thing when he grows up ?!.
