Hello, does anyone have any advice they could give me on building a commercial indoor climbing wall from scratch?

- Possible pitfalls?
- Building Companies / Overall building costs?
- Initial start-up beaurocracy?
- Investors / grants?

Thanks,
Tom.

If The Prince's Trust is not able to help you, you could try contacting one of the following organisations.

your biggest problem is finding the right building i.e. right place, right size, right planning or likely planning consent/change of use.

and then finding/getting funding. If you have a good backer, deposit etc. and a great business plan this shouldn't be a problem though.

Yeah, finding a building isn't easy - not many industrial units have sufficient headroom.

But the big thing is the cost. Converting an empty industrial unit into a functioning, medium-sized climbing centre is going to cost you about half a million quid. It's a hell of a chunk of change to come up with...
