due to an unfortunate accident i've severed the tendon on the outside of my left ring finger. i had an op to put it all back togeether again and stitches are due out on wednesday. however, the rather attractive finger brace must remain in situ for another three weeks.

does anyone have any experience of an injury of this kind? also, i appreciate each case is different but any ideas on the rehab period i can expect and also any ideas (however vague) on when i may be able to restart climbing would be much apprecaited.

thanks

In reply to rob sykes: All I did was strain some wrist tendons and it's taken about 4-6 months for them to be ALMOST fully recovered. A severed tendon sounds much worse! Sorry mate!

In reply to JezH:

Agree, long time.

People who damage tendons should remember they just pull muscle, which gets strong at least twice as fast as tendons so even if you get some strength back, don't use that finger in anger for six months.
