Couldn't asgree more. What is the point of being out on a crag and shutting out the sounds of nature?

NB alot of that is stolen from another user on UKC (cant remember who though (opps) but its actually quite a good listen when you need to train!

Hex's clanking about and skinny dudes shouting "Gaston it, just guppy it with your thumb" & "push the envelope, think outside the box, fold the box into an envelope and get it sent" aren't the sounds of nature.

Please tell me you made that one up?

I keep hearing Hot Chip singing 'I am ready, I am ready for a fall' when I climb. It's a bit unnerving.

I like a bit of killswitch engage or zane lowe's radio 1 show when im at the wall, but when i'm climbing outdoors dont listen to anything but the jingle of my rack, which is actually pretty soothing

None at all, thank you. I prefer to be able to hear my second when they are pointing out an alternative hold or move I have missed or that the pro has just fallen out.

One of my mates shouted it at me to try and make me fall off laughing.

Along with other such sage advice such as
Him - "are you in pain?"
Me - "f*** off, i'm struggling here"
Him - "focus on the pain. Now imagine the pain is a cow. Take the cow outside to the fields. Now shoot the cow. You have no pain. Has that helped?"
Me - "Oww. You bas***d."

I am now literally crying with laughter and people in my office are looking at me weirdly.
