I did this route quite some time ago when it was E2 and found it ok. Now it is E3 and the guide talks about baffling moves etc.

Has some stuff come off it or gear placements ripped through?

In reply to robw007:

I'm sure it was E3 when I did it 10'ish years ago (could even be longer ago than that, lost my old guidebook).

Seem to remember it also being OK, but thought it was harder than many of the E2's at Trem, so was happy with an E3 tick.

In reply to robw007: My thoughts were that I was glad I was not tall on the ramp as I think it would be even more out of balance, seemed like a hard E2 back in those days.

In reply to robw007: Incidently it was E3 by the 1989 guide, so for over 20 years now.

In reply to robw007:

Just asked my dad. Apparently he did the first ascent...he recons the grade is Extremely Severe (original grade).
In reply to robw007:

I thought it was given E2 in the early 80's with an awkward move at the end of the 1st ramp.

Tough at the grade though.

Worth E3 for sure.
