I found this thread from July 2009 which intimated that CRUX was bringing some new ruckies (RK30 and RK40) to the market in September 2009, with roll tops and improved fabrics.

Nothing about them on the CRUX website though.

Anyone know what happened?

Cheers

In reply to Baku Steve:

The RK30 is now on sale in the UK (for instance at V12, Llanberis) but unfortunately the RK40 won't now be available until next year.

In reply to Dr.S at work:

from what I recall it's a welded pocket inside the roll-top but haven't any more info than that I'm afraid.

Thanks Clive, yes it was there all along. Doh. Although on the Crux site the title of the page is the AK30
. . .

Amazing what a difference a photo makes. On the Crux site the RK30 looks like it's made of the same shiny fabric as North Face holdall but on the V12 site the photo is much better, much less shiny

Crux site bad pic:

V12 site Good pic:

In reply to Baku Steve:

I know why - the sales sample was in the shiny fabric, and this was photographed. Production examples are in the matt fabric which is also softer, but the photo was never updated.
