Nikwax Techwash

Anyone used Nikwax Techwash before? Just had a rather strange experience...

I'm washing an eVent cycling jacket, followed the wash care instructions and the instructions on the bottle. After 20 mins the washer had totally foamed up and foam was bursting through the door and dispenser! I stopped the wash and now it's rinsing.

It looked like a scene from a horror movie, foam all over the kitchen! Sound normal?

Could your outflow be frozen?

No the overflow is fine.

What I should have said was, is it supposed to foam up, a lot?

In reply to R8JimBob88: I've not used it for a while but I seem to remember it foaming up quite a bit. Could be you put too much tech wash in for your washing machine / jacket.

In reply to R8JimBob88: If you have soft water it may do this ---- Hard water doesnt cause as much foam Use less stuff. Hhave the same problems using pure soap in soft water.( I know How can you get Hard water?)

In reply to R8JimBob88: it does give MUCH more foam than normal detergent, so if you used too much, or if you had slight washer issues, it could easily foam out like that.
