I did the Godfrey Jackson PYB 5 day course 3 years ago! No idea what the lay out for your course will be but for mine it was an excellent course, with challenges for everyone, good staff to group ratio and an excellent week in the hills. Add to that endless amounts of good food!

In reply to jc545staffy:
Based in the Cairngorms in January, these courses bridge the gap between summer climbing/walking and winter mountaineering. The ratio is one instructor to six participants, two days in duration. The courses cover use of ice axe and crampons, navigation, basic rope work including snow belays (achors), avalanche assessment and problem avoidance.

Have a good time!
