Erhard Loretan, 3 kbSwiss mountain guide Erhard Loretan - the third climber to top out on all fourteen 8000m peaks - has been killed whilst guiding on the Grünhorn (4043m) in the Bernese Alps, Switzerland.

His Italian was stupendous! This is what we need to foster, a love of life and a love of differences. English speaking climbers hear and learn. Family and friends must be really sad indeed to lose such an interesting man.
