Does anyone else get pitted feet infections from wearing rock shoes? Does anyone have any advice over what it could be and how to cure it? THIS IS NOT A TROLL!

It's called Pitted Keratolysis. Do a google search about the causes/symptoms/treatment.

Basically dry your feet properly, change socks whenever they get damp, spray feet with deodorant, don't wear the same shoes on consecutive days. Also read sonmewhere about washing your socks at 60 degrees helps kill off the fungus. Probably some other useful stuff on the web

As above, plus are you an habitual training shoe wearer too? You need to wear shoes/insoles and socks that don't let the soles of your feet stay damp. Antisetic/antiperspirant foot powder is good to keep it at bay (Dr Scholl). Wash (and dry) your feet regularly.

In reply to Jackwd: Wear socks. You know it makes sense. Not had a sticky shoe since I started wearing socks nor have I suffered a loss of ability.

Those thin coolmax socks sold as liner socks are really good for wearing with climbing shoes. They allow you to lace up as normal and the flat toe seams don't chafe your toes but they also absorb quite a bit of sweat over a session. Buy a couple of pairs and change them during a long day out.
