Im looking for different V Diffs for beginners at Tremadog.
Axeminster is VDiff in the new guide, but unstarred and described as "Scrappy".
At the risk of stating the obvious, none of the main crags at Tremadog are particularly good at VDiff, although Hail Bebe is nice. Moel y Gest has a bit more to go at perhaps for beginners.
I've no idea about the answer to your question, but I did Axeminster on my second day climbing; I'd have thought it was pretty suitable, and I enjoyed it, so I don't see why your beginners wouldn't. It does wander a bit - maybe the grade discrepancy is down to inadvertent variations.
