If you're planning to tape up it might be worth having a small pair of scissors in your bag (the medical ones designed for cutting off dressings would be ideal). Once you've cut through the inside of the wrist its pretty easy to peel the rest of the glove off intact.
You could use a sharp knife, but if you've just had your arse kicked by some horrendous offwidth and you're knackered and shaky, well, y'know.. ;O)
I haven't tried the method Tom's demonstrating in the film, I'll have to give it a go. I've tried it this way a few times (more or less):
