Climbing a route called impact day and impacting the floor. I fail to see how that isn't Irony.
It would be ironic if the route was called "No way will you fall off this", but not if the name matches reality.
Irony is the opposite of what is expected ie decking off a route called "Safe As Houses".
Some things are definately learned best when learned the hard way.
