/ BBC Olympic pundits

Why or how have the BBC got American sports stars like Michael Johnson and John McEnroe as sports commentator/pundits? You'd think that they'd be working for the US TV channels. I'm not complaining as I think they are pretty good, it just seems odd.

I think both of them do US tv as well, Mac certainly does.

Agree that they are both brilliant commentators.

Both have long term relationships with the BBC. I pretty sure McEnroe "moonlights" for another network and Johnson probably does too. They are always worth listening too. I was a bit sceptical about McEnroe at the Olympics but was soon convinced.
