Staying at the Sykeside campsite in Patterdale this weekend for a couple of days of walking.

I wondered if it's worth taking my bouldering mat. Anything within walking distance of the site??

more than you can shake a stick at!just follow the path up to coire laggan and within half an hour you`ll be in bouldering heaven, you`ll have agreat time but no skin!

In reply to pepperpot: the only one in walking distance from Sykeside is the impressive arete below Dove Crag (Impailed V8) - about 1.5 hrs walk. Once you hop in a car there's lots of options.
