/ Snowdon - Winter Skills Area? + Watkin Path/South ridge route
I'm planning to go up Snowdon next weekend via the Watkin Path and back down via the south ridge. I've done the standard looking up the routes etc but if anyone had any personal experience of them (and their difficulty) that would be great.
Also, I wondered if anyone could let me know of a good location (grid ref would be great), in the area to practise self arrest (i.e. a nice concave slope without rocks protruding, and a shallow fallout..)
I've not been that way around in the winter, but here are some photos from the route in reverse -
Thanks Wheelsy :)
