Hi All,

I am in London visiting my brother this weekend and he has suggested going climbing at Westway.

Just a quick question really, is this a good place? He lives in Fulham (walking distance from football ground) so I suppose the closer to there the better!?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

In reply to PebblePusher: westway is great for leading, and really good for bouldering. Probably best leading wall in london.

IMO Westway is the best wall in London for lead climbing, and OK but limited for bouldering.

It's one of the closest walls to Fulham. From Fulham you can get the 295 bus the whole way to the Westway (stops literally outside). Or chop and change a bit on the tube.

put your hands up for the Castle, great from the outside fab on the inside, its just got that groove - 'xcuse pun - you got trains/buses/tubes - whats stopping you, here its a 36 mile round trip hitch-hiking to nearest shop....

You also have Urban Ascent, a small bouldering venue 15 minutes walk from craven cottage, less from Putney bridge.
