Anyone got any info on the conditions of the above routes? Hoping to have my first winter experience on the Ben on wednesday.

In reply to blackreaver: Came down ledge route on Sat. A bit sugary low down just above the curtain, but rest in good condition and well travelled.

In reply to blackreaver: Done No.2 last week.. Variable conditions all the way up.. I'd imagine it may be slightly better now though. The exit was pretty vertical and exciting for a solo.

Took my daughter up nr 4 on Sunday - her first winter outing. In easy but good condition - very stepped and not at all steep at the topping out bit. Belays on snow though.
We had it to ourselves - remarkably.

Went up No2 on Saturday, soft snow at the entrance to the gully, lovely firm icey snow all the way to the top from about halfway, no problems with cornices at the top, veered slightly right. Having said that my mate happily accepted my offer of dropping a rope down to safeguard the exit!
