We were thinking about heading across to do either Golden Oldie or Western Rib on Aonach Mor on Saturday. A lot of the logbook entries describe doing the routes under powder conditions. With new snow forecast for today tomorrow, do you think that these would be reasonable route choices or should we look for other options (skiing in the Cairngorms)?

I imagine they'll feel wintery, and you won't have to worry about falling debris, but I suspect that the turf will be soft.

In reply to david0811: The west face and the summit ribs still looked wintery from NEB on Tuesday with a good cover of snow might be worth a look hope this is some help.

In reply to david0811: thanks for the advice. Forecast not looking great so will probably stay in the east and try to get something in.
