I'm pretty sure I've got this problem with my left thumb. The finest physician in the land (YouTube) suggests so... It's perticulatly bad pushing up off things with my hand in a press up position. It collapsed under me this morning.
It's associated with gripping things with an open hand and as I've just laid about 1000 bricks in a patio that would make sense.
As a professional hitch hiker, this is going to be a problem, ( actually I'm a cabinet maker so it is a problem). Has anybody got it, had it, treated it??
Will a wrist support and Ibuprofen do the trick? Something specific? I might see a real doctor if it persists but I think it could just be over-use in this instance. Any thoughts??
