I have been thoroughly enjoying watching the World Cup bouldering comps but does anyone know why there are none in the UK? Not great considering there have been two in Austria this season.

I know that Cliffhanger hosted one a couple of years ago and it's a perfect fit for that sort of event but the British Bouldering Championships don't quite have the same appeal.

In reply to becauseitsthere: The countries have to put in bids to the IFSC to get the world cups, for some reason, the uk hasn't put in any, or they have failed to get them. There was a promo event in sheffield I think in 2011 there was 1 at the same place, so we are capable of holding them, we just don't
