Righty, I think I've caught up with emails, sorry if someone has mailed and I didn't reply, I'm between 3 computers as I try and juggle work, business and home at the moment! Please feel free to text or PM me again if you need to though.
So, plenty of folks have now confirmed, some the whole meet, others just a single or a few days, whatever is best for you and I imagine a whole spectrum of grades will see action, from VDiffs to lower extremes so all climbers are welcome to join us regardless of ablity.
I am planning an early start next Friday so I can be at the site and get the tent pitched and sorted so I'll be free to climb from dinnertime ish. The Wife and I will be in a green/sage Oakwell Oakland M tent, I'll try and arrange some sort of sign for it so if we are at the crag when you arrive, you'll at least know you are in the right area. Car wise I'll be in the blue/green Astra reg number KF51 AOZ that may or may not have a roofbox fitted on it. My number should anyone wish to store it ready for finding us etc is 075040-NINE-6725
If anyone wants to ring and book at the campsite <Hardhurst Farm> they have set aside space for 15 or so tents so just tell them you are part of the UKC climbing meet and the spaces are booked under the name of Blanchard.
I plan to do the Edale MRT fundraising raffle on Saturday night in the Travellers rest <just down the road> If anyone buys tickets on Friday and Saturday who can't stay for the draw, your tickets will of course still be valid and I'll post the prize to you myself should you be a winner. With a ladies and a mans harness, full set of wires, an MCC coaching voucher and several signed books plus lots of stocking fillers.
UKC's own Gordon Stainforth will be popping in to say hello on saturday Evening and Gordon has donated a copy of his latest book - Fiva. The lucky winner of that will be able to have it personally signed by Gordon and no doubt Gordon have a barrarge of questions from us about his various adventures. A member of the Edale MRT may be popping too to say hello and have a chat, depending upon call-outs of course.
Link for the pub below, good reviews and a great looking menu with food available up to 21.00 in the evening. Free wifi too I notice.
