Hey,

Was just wondering if anyone had done the assessment to climb at Shrewsbury Sport Village. I was hoping you might be able to explain what it entails. I expect it will be some kind of demonstration skills along the lines of the yes/no questions you get asked at normal walls.

In reply to Fobbit169: It used to be done by the staff connected with the wall but there are hardly any of them around now, especially mid week daytime. You will be lucky to find anyone around apart from the staff at reception, don't mention it and you will probably be OK. There used to be a belaying test and a few questions.

You have to show that you can put a harness on correctly, tie in safely, and then belay someone on the top ropes.
