Cannae believe I missed this gig coming up and now it's sold out. Anyone have a spare ticket I can buy?

I'll give it a go. I don't understand this touting thing. Obviously people sell tickets at rip off prices. Yet at gigs there's always touts selling and buying genuine tickets at face value. How do they make a profit?
