I like it. Grand story and interesting film making. Big, volatile ideas that even now would stir up people. Brave stuff.
Greatest film ever? possibly. As far as the craftsmanship of film making goes.
One of those flicks best seen after a bit of research to align things. Remember when it came out people would have been more connected to whats in it. Its topical, despite holding up over the decades.
I put it up there with la dolce vita and apocalypse now as great works of the filmakers craft.
