Hi guys,
I'm a fairly experienced photographer but BOB was my first time photographing bouldering.
Here's a link to the Flickr set
http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrishigginson/sets/72157636789717006/
It was a great day, with a fantastic turn out and an amazingly high standard of climbing.
Please let me now if any of you guys have any hints, tips or suggestions!

Thanks, Chris

I'm not particularly experianced in this sort of thing, but:

1. You've lost the climbers feet in a few shots
2. A couple of wide angle shots have a photographer as a secondary subject - not to my taste as they aren't integral to what's going on.
3. Some of the best shots I've seen are from above - check out Alex Messenger's shots on the BMC website for examples. His shot of Shauna Coxsey on the final BBC at Cliffhanger is an excellent of a shot taken from the mat too.

However - most of the your shots are clear and well-timed.

In reply to Bassline:

Interesting gender bias in the photos.
In reply to Blue Straggler:

To be fair, there was only 3 problems in the final and mens 2 and 3 were so hard that they weren't getting that far on them.

In reply to Blue Straggler:
Yeah, the guy's problems were very very hard; I've got loads of shots of men falling off the wall tho!

In reply to Bassline:

It's Battle Of Britain.

Lighting seems a problem and a few focus issues.

I liked 8451 but difficult to see just how hard it was, nice hands though, perfect timing.

In reply to Sean Kelly: Oh My. I have to ask - did you plan or snap? Also - full frame camera? I am just in noise city to get the shutter speed up on my 650d indoors.
