Assigning function button Nikon P310 (how to?)

Is anyone able to tell me how to assign a particular command to the function button on the front face of a Nikon P310. The instruction manual is no help and I've hunted usuccessfully on google. Lots of the camera review sites say it's "simple" to do this, but I can't figure it out!

FWIW, I'm trying to set it to adjust the ISO.
