How to find out about scrambling and very easy mountaineering routes in France?

Wife and I will be in the Drome region of France in late December (not far from Montelimar in the Rhone, north of Avignon).

Obviously, there are bolted rock routes not that far away - in Provence, and also around Saou and elsewhere in the Drome. But it may be too cold to really enjoy bolt clipping.

There must be scrambling routes that we can do wearing gloves, along ridges, etc in this part of the world. The equivalents of Crib Goch or the Aonach Eagach... But anyone have any ideas about how to identify them?

There has been a great explosion in bolted cliffs with brilliant topo guides, but I'm still a bit unsure how to identify the sort of routes we'd like to do this winter.

Not really. Lots of warm sunny rock, sheltered from the Mistral all winter.
