Potentially looking for an MIC for a couple of days on 8-9th December.

We have a small group who want to learn basic crampon/axe/rope skills (if its snowy!) and although I think we could probably do it all in one group of about 6 people, they are all complete novices.

What sort of prices would we be looking at per day? Could we get away with one day of the basics and one day working on more skills both as one group, or two days and split the group?

Cheers
In reply to alexcollins123: I'm only an MIC trainee and I won't be in Scotland until later in the season this year so I can't help.

However you should get a good response if you try the online enquiry form on http://www.themic.org.uk/enquiry/

In no particular order:

Alan Halewood http://www.climbwhenyoureready.com/

Max Hunter http://maxhuntercouk.blogspot.co.uk/

Scott Kirkhope http://scottkirkhope.blogspot.co.uk/

Mike Pescod http://www.abacusmountaineering.com/

All are very good and they regularly work with my students at everything from intro to master class level. We have others who are brilliant I just happen to have these on my bookmark list. They are all very active in the Scottish Winter scene, just don't book them when I need them for my students!

In reply to alexcollins123: I'd see if Alan Halewood is free. If he can't do it chances are he'd know someone who could.

In reply to RossPencovich and Simon Wells: Thanks for the recommendations guys. I'm already working on the 8th but I'd join Simon in recommending any of Scott, Max or Mike above.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I will get in touch with all those suggested.

Alex
