Years ago I remember going to an indoor wall, but I cannot remember for the life of me where it was. The one feature I remember was that there were several tall routes that went up inside the square tower of a church from ground level.
Can anyone shed any light on this mystery venue... Or did I dream it?!?!
I believe there is/was a de-consecrated church climbing wall in Liverpool? Alter rock at Derby hasn't been around long enough to be years ago. I seem to remember a Scout campsite somewhere in the East Midlands with an old church climbing wall and an old gatehouse.
Being a regular at Awesome walls in Livepool and NW Face in Warrington I can confirm it wasn't them (unless Warrington was completely rebuilt about 5 or 10 years ago?
In reply to Dave Douglas - Awesome Walls:
As far as i recall UCR currently has the offices up in the tower, although on the lead wall there is a four sided shaft starting a good few metres up one section. Its rather fun.
