A lot of it was the best bit of the Peaks District as well; the part no one can be arsed to go as it's not Stanage or the pretty limestone dales.

It crazy, I'm not a local, but I live next door, I just saw program I've ridden Holme moss some times, back in 87 on my first mountain bike I rode through that 4 mile railway tunnel from dunford bridge to woodhead before they shut it, I was with a 27 year old guy lovely but ard as nails, and I was still shitting it, ramble, ramble I know, it's always been the Peak district to me, but if folk call it the Peaks that's just the way it is, it int even peak it's pronounced pea-ek rand ere.

No, he was quoting the woman presenter during the Countryside bit on cycling and the Tour de France. She said "Peaks"

Agreed. Great to have ironed things out finally. They better hold back those first editions of "Peak Rock" though, what were they thinking?
