would anyone use an outdoor gym for outdoor people?

If the weather is good enough to use an outdoor gym, then outdoor people will probs be doing their outdoor sports i.e. climbing

Depends what was in it.
Near where my brother used to live there was a park with a running circuit with various bits of equipment scattered round it. That looked fairly useful for mixing up a run a bit.
