Has anyone spent this period at either of those two locations ?

I will be alone and was wondering which would be the best place to be at for both social and climbing reasons.

I expect it would be Rodellar because of the Kalandraka but i heard that last yer there was a bit of a cave party in Margalef which sounds pretty cool.

Has anyone got any recommendations ???

I've no experience to speak from, but I believe that Margalef's open landscape will catch more winter sun than Rodellar's gorges.

I have never been to Rodellar during the winter months but i have always found escaping the sun during the summer is a must and there are many sectors that get the sun up until the evening

From a climbing perspective, Rodellar is both wetter and slower to dry than Margalef.

OK I can't dispute what you've actually experienced, but choice must be reduced - Rodellar is known as a summer crag to escape the heat. If you go onto 8a.nu you can checkout the 'season' graphs for both crags - which clearly show that Margalef will be more sociable in winter months.
