Hello,

I'm getting married in April and am looking for a non pretentious pub with a function room big enough for 35 to go for a family meal at afterwards.

Somewhere like the Broadie, which would be perfect as it is five mins from my house but its' function room is too small.

Any suggestions welcome. We are getting married in the City Hall and live two mins walk from the Climbing Works. Locations near to either are preferred but anywhere good and cheapish will do.

A good Italian restaurant could be an alternative.

You could speak to Chris or Robin at Shakespears on Gibralter street.
They have a pretty big function room up stairs and their beer and whisky selection is excellent.

The Shakespere is a pub with a nice vibe, it's near to West Bar and not miles from the City Hall.

Though I've never been, there's there 7 Spices curry house just next to it which has a good reputation by the way.
