I love the blues. I was first introduced to the blues listening to Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong's Beale Street Blues which is a classic.
Then, not big band stuff, I heard Taj Mahal's Statesboro blues. That was me hooked. Which blues number made each of us aware that such music existed?

As a young teenager, watching an old black and white film on the telly and seeing this guy playing piano and singing. Wsa so impressed I waited until the end credits to see if he was named. I can't remember what name came up, because when I tried to find something by him years later I found out he recorded under multiple names: Speckled Red, William Perriman,Dr Feelgood to name but three.
But that was much later. After that film the first blues I got into was Robert Johnson. A bit much to take at first, but grew to love his music and still do.
