OK folks, I need an accounts package and am looking for personal experience/recommendations.
It's a small retail(ish) business but the package needs to be reasonably sophisticated - nominal ledger, journals/recurring journals, bank rec, preferably the ability to import transactions from spreadsheets, ability to cope with different VAT rates, and a good purchase ledger, preferably with the ability to import purchase invoices from spreadsheet or similar - we deal with a lot of small invoices and credit notes.
Is there anything out there someone is prepared to recommend at a sensible price other than the bl**dy awful Sage?
