I think it's really just a (poor) picture of the mats they make.

That's funny. I think that's down at Gandalf's nr Haresfield. Apparently the same people who make the mats made a guide to the bouldering round them parts. Not seen it, but one has to take one's hat off.

Right, finish coffee, for the pelting rain over Sheffield has just stopped, the sun has come out, and I'm off to Stanage for a crack at Goliath's Groove. Not that that has got anything on the bouldering at Gandalf's, of course.

Looks like he's cleaning the top holds ready for a try at the sit start!

Walked up and looked at it. Not wet or cold enough to be worthwhile.

Seriously shit weather this morning. Sun and blue vanished at Ringinglow, for snow, sleet and rain. We bailed for Robin Hood's Stride for some bouldering.

What about that hanging arĂȘte to the left? A last great Cotswold problem? Makes Appointment With Fear look like Flying Buttress.

Looks to me as if he's practising for having a shit? I say practising as once his technique is tuned I imagine he'll drop his trousers and get the mats out of the way.

Someone should teach him how to squat, much more efficient.

In reply to Choss:

I don't think he has enough mats for that problem. he could still hurt himself.
